Faux Bois
"Faux bois", which translates to mean "fake wood," refers to the artistic rendering of wood grain using paint and glazes. Faux bois gained popularity in the late 19th century and continued to be used through the 1940s. Today, Faux bois is an economic method of replicating wood grain on both furniture and interiors.
